What is an RSS feed URL?

An RSS feed URL is a direct link to your podcast's content in a standardized format. It contains all your episodes and metadata in one location. Our application uses this URL to access your podcast episodes for conversion to a book.

Search for the podcast on your podcast hosting platform

All podcasts hosting platforms have the RSS feed used to distribute your podcast. Look for the RSS Icon: Once on the podcast hosting provider website, look for the RSS icon or the letters "RSS."

How do I know if my RSS feed URL is correct?

A correct RSS feed URL typically:

  • Starts with "https://"
  • Often contains words like "feeds", "rss", or your podcast hosting platform name
  • When pasted into a browser, shows XML code with your episode titles and descriptions

Platform-Specific Instructions

Spotify

Important: Spotify doesn't provide public RSS feeds for their podcasts. This is a limitation of the Spotify platform, not our application. If your podcast is on Spotify, you'll need to:

  1. Find out which hosting service distributes your podcast to Spotify (like Anchor, Libsyn, etc.)
  2. Access your RSS feed directly from that hosting provider (see instructions below)
  3. If you only have a Spotify-exclusive podcast, you'll need to publish it on another platform to get an RSS feed

Apple Podcasts

  1. Open your podcast's page in Apple Podcasts
  2. Click the share icon (box with arrow)
  3. Select "Copy Link"
  4. Paste the link into your browser
  5. Right-click anywhere on the page and select "View Page Source" (or press Ctrl+U)
  6. Press Ctrl+F to search for "feedUrl"
  7. Look for text that looks like: feedUrl":"https://feeds.something.com/something"
  8. Copy the URL between the quotes after feedUrl":" - this is your RSS feed

Anchor

  1. Log into your Anchor account
  2. Go to Settings > Distribution
  3. Scroll down to "RSS Feed"
  4. Copy the RSS feed URL provided

Libsyn

  1. Log into your Libsyn account
  2. Go to Destinations > RSS Feed Settings
  3. Copy the RSS Feed URL from this page

Buzzsprout

  1. Log into your Buzzsprout account
  2. Click on "Directories" in the navigation menu
  3. Find the RSS Feed section
  4. Copy your RSS Feed URL

Podbean

  1. Log into your Podbean account
  2. Go to Settings > RSS Feed
  3. Copy your RSS Feed URL

Simplecast

  1. Log into your Simplecast dashboard
  2. Click on Distribution
  3. Copy the RSS feed URL listed there

Transistor

  1. Log into your Transistor account
  2. Go to your show's dashboard
  3. Look for "RSS Feed" in the right-hand sidebar
  4. Copy the RSS feed URL

Captivate

  1. Log into your Captivate account
  2. Go to "Distribute"
  3. Your RSS feed is displayed at the top of the page

Spreaker

  1. Log into your Spreaker account
  2. Go to your podcast settings
  3. Click on "RSS Feed"
  4. Copy the RSS feed URL

Blubrry

  1. Log into your Blubrry account
  2. Go to "Podcaster Dashboard"
  3. Click on "Show Details"
  4. Find and copy your RSS feed URL
